By e-bike from Lago d’Orta in Piemont to Lake Garda, in oft he most beautiful landscapes in Europe. Now with a Mexxfro twist – a sporty tour that goes uphill almost as fast as it goes down. And all that without a break day. On little-known roads, through scenically spectacular routes, on and off-road. All the while enjoying our 360° service, carefully selected hotels of the upper-class category and delicious regional specialities.

DAY 1 | Orta – Varese | 63 km

Hop on the bikes!

Good morning! After meeting your group, you will get to know your bike for the week, the M1 Spitzing Evolution. While test riding, you will be completely instructed and will get to know the ins and outs of these unique bikes.

Beginning at Lake Orta, our first day starts with a significant elevation profile. We start off cycling over the mountain in a north eastern direction towards Lago Maggiore. From there, we cross the lake with the ferry and continue on to the nature reserve Parco Regionale del Campo dei Fiori with its vast hardwood forests. In the afternoon, we reach our 4* hotel on the mountain, with a beautiful view.

DAY 2 | Varese – Comer See | 82 km

A borderline expoerience of the special kind

Today, you will often reach some limits. Okay, so not physically, but geographically – namely the border between Italy and Switzerland.

Starting from the hotel, we !!!! over the mountain in a northerly direction to Lago di Ghirla, then eastwards tp the large Lago di Lugano, then downwards to Porto Ceresio, where, cycling along the waters edge, we cross the border and arrive at Riva San Vitale, with its wonderful lake views. From there, we criss cross the Swiss-Italian border, cycling in a north erstwards direction.

Back in Italy, our route leads us to the magnificent Lago di Como, where we check in to our hotel accomodation, located at Menaggio.

DAY 3 | Lago di Como – San Pellegrino Terme | 85 km

A great profile

Eat a good breakfast today, you will need the energy for the upcoming elevation profile. From Varenna, it’s quite an ascent towards the South, with the beautiful Lago di Como always within sight.

From the most southerly point of the lake, our route takes us over empty, curvy pass roads, constantly going up and down. Riding the Spitzing M1 makes it much more fun. We then take a lunch break for an energy boost before continuing on to our destination for the day, a nice hotel in the mineral water hotspot San Pellegrino Terme.

DAY 4 | San Pellegrino Terme – Lovere | 75 km

To Lago d’Iseo

We depart riding in a north easterly direction and cycling on and off road, arrive in the scenically impressive region of the Bergamasque Alps.After lunch, our route takes us to Lago d’Iseo, that we can preview from above. Enjoy a fantastic view of the lake and Monte Isola, the largest island in a South European lake. We take in this amazing view with 600 m altitude difference and then cycle down the twisty roads to ist shore.

Then it’s off to the hotel where our luggage awaits us. In the evening, we can take a leisurely stroll through the town’s old quarters and replenish our energy reserves with delicious Tuscan specialities.

DAY 5 | Lovere – Lago d`Idro | 78 km

From Lago d’Iseo, we take a lonesome route through fascinating mountian landscape and onward to Lago d’Idro. From there, we start a challenging ascent towards north east to the highest point, at 1900 m. From there, it’s downhill all the way, on beautiful off road tracks and enjoy a feeling almost like skiing- swaying and swerve, feeling free and simply enjoying it all. We then arrive at Lago d’Idro, the smallest of the Italin Great Lakes, where we rest for the night, after a good dinner!

DAY 6 | Lago d`Idro – Riva | 56 km

8 lakes in 6 days

The last leg of our tour takes us from Lago d’Idro eastwards, to the most famous lake in the Southern Alps, Lake Garda. This stretch soars/ascends in more ways than one, and reaches a dramatic peak at Lago d’Ledro. From here, we soon reach the edge of the slope with ist breath-taking views over northerly Lake Garda.

Sail boats glide on the water down below,while higher up we whish by on no longer used pass roads to Riva del Garda, with the lake always within view. In Riva, we check in to our new accommodation and enjoy dinner together one last time in the towns quaint old quarters. What a feeling, you’ve seen 8 lakes in 6 days.

Arrivederci!

After breakfast at the hotel, our Mexxfro Shuttle will bring you back to Milan. We can also bring you to the airport in Verona instead.  Of course, you can add a few days to your stay in Italy, if you so wish.
