Crossing the Alps – from Memmingen to Lake Garda
Ride over the Alps, from Memmingen to Lake Garda – a dream. Now you can experience that dream with a Mexxfro twist – a sporty 6-day tour, that goes uphill almost as fast as it goes down. On little frequented roads, scenically spectacular routes, on and off road. All the while enjoying our 360° service and a day for yourself in Bolzano, the wonderful Capital of South Tyrol.

DAY 1 | Memmingen – Füssen | 103 km
Hop on the bikes!
We meet you in our flagship store where we will show you your bike for the week, the M1 Spitzing Evolution. While test riding, you will be completely instructed and will get to know the ins and outs of these unique bikes.
To warm up, we will start on seldom frequented, curvy tarmac roads and forest tracks, through the beautiful foothills of the Alps. We know these roads like the back of our hands. The road rises steadily as we pass forests, fields and quaint little villages.
We reach Füssen in the afternoon- if so wished, we can organise a tour of the royal castles of Neuschwanstein and/or Hohenschwangau (entry tickets not included in tour price).
DAY 2 | Füssen – near Innsbruck | 105 km
The first mountain pass
After breakfast, we ride from Füssen in a south-easterly direction. On personally selected/scouted hidden paths and forest tracks, we ride from 800 m altitude, over an alpine pasture, the “Ehrwlader Alm”, to an altitude of approximately 1,600 m, all the while surrounded by impressive mountain views.
From there we ride up and down, covering altitude differences of 1,000 metres on and off road on diverse routes with wonderful views, to our hotel in Innsbruck. We replace all those lost calories with a delicious Alpine meal that evening.
DAY 3 | Innsbruck – Bolzano| 128 km
Over the Brenner
From Innsbruck, we corkscrew over the Brenner. Of course, not on the Brenner road itself, but on beautiful roads alongside it.
The unusual route takes us up to the pass altitude at the Italian border on beautiful roads and tracks. From there, your bike practically pushes itself – on an old, discontinued rail track, through tunnels and beautiful villages of South Tyrol, such as Sterzing and Brixen, until we finally arrive in Bolzano. We freshen up in the hotel and enjoy delicious regional specialities in a specially chosen restaurant.
DAY 4 | Rest day in Bolzano

Discover Bolzano and its unique charm. Weave through leafy paths, explore, shop, eat. A whole day, for whatever you want. If you need any tips or have any questions –simply ask your tour guide.
DAY 5 | Bolzano – Lake Molveno | 81 km
Onwards and Upwards
From Bolzano, we ride southwest over the Mendel pass and reach a beautiful alpine plateau. The route continues over spectacular, secret roads through forests and vineyards. Then past the reservoir at Santa Giustina until we reach our room with a view, close to Lake Molveno.
DAY 6 | Lake Molveno – Riva | 53 km
A View of the Lake
We start off towards Riva, passing Lake Molveno and really push ourselves on this exciting, off-road stretch. Once we have reached the top of Lago di Tenno, you will be rewarded with the spectacular view of our destination – Lake Garda. We then cycle on small roads top Riva, where we check in to our hotel and eat in the beautiful and historic town centre. Of course, Italian cuisine.
DAY 7 | Departure day
Arrivederci!
After breakfast at the hotel, our Mexxfro shuttle will bring you back to Memmingen. If so wished, it is also possible for you to arrange flights home from Verona or to extend your stay in Italy.
